Cherry Blossoms Are In Full Bloom

It's Official! The Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom today. Unfortunately they are calling for rain tonight and more rain and wind on Friday, which will knock all of the beautiful blooms off of their trees before the weekend. Not that I have time to go see the Cherry Blossoms this weekend. I'll be getting my hair dyed. Ladies, don't hate - I have had grey hairs on my head since high school. It has been so long since I have been to the salon that my DH commented that I look like I have paint in my hair. Still, I am tempted to cancel the appt because I really want to see the blossoms.

Sigh.

Alas, I can still view them through the Cherry Blossom web cam.

That is one thing I miss not living in the area anymore. I always enjoyed the Cherry Blossom Festival. Since I was a little kid. Hopefully you might get to see it this weekend. If not enjoy your hair appt.

Did it ever occur to you to dye your own hair.. so you could do it whenever it was convenient?? Then you can do your hair and see the pretty blossoms... I have always done my own and it isn't gray yet...

Yes, I could dye my own hair. I have no problem with that. It's just that I'm scared to dye my own hair. I am so scared of burning my hair, burning my scalp, turning my hair green or orange or something???

Plus, my hair does need to be cut. I'm not a "hair spa" type person. Taking the time to go get my hair "done" is draining. I have much more important things to do than sit in that chair for a few HOURS! Alas, I have not been to the salon in 5 months - it's time. :-(

I will, however, consider dyeing my hair again (before camp) so my grey roots aren't so bad. Good idea!

Don't write off the qualities of a great salon night out. :) Me and one of my BFFs (see, I can use that cool tween language too) make the salon our mom's night out every other month. We use two particular stylists who are stationed beside each other. We schedule our appointments together and chat while they're chopping. Then it's dinner afterward. Definitely a great mom's evening out every 8 weeks!
