A Visit from the Governor

As you may know, we have a new school in our area and due to some lucky redistricting, Lulu attends the new school. They recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony, which was attended by the Governor. In addition to giving a speech to the faculty and students ( reminding students in his remarks that the money [for the school] was from their parents and grandparents who pay taxes), he also planted a “Tree of Progress” in the front area and told students they had to take care of it and make sure they continued their own progress.

Other official duties for the day included playing the guitar...

climbing the rock wall...

and writing on the smartboards.

I asked Lulu if she got to see the Governor. She said, "I got to touch his hand!"
